Familiar Etro paisleys found their way onto floor-skimming chiffon gowns and panels on motorcycle jackets and chunky parkas. Pretty little embroidered velvet jackets in deep purple and black provided a soft (and handily reversible) foil to canvas parkas. Equally pretty were the kimono jackets with chinoiserie prints and petal pink lapels, styled with velvet Mary-Janes and warm woolly socks. Etro called it a “freestyle mood” for girls who “pile on clothes at their pleasure”.
